The building was a flagship project for the County Council and the requirement was to privde an office environment with a certain 'pizzaz.'

The original design, followed by tenders, was over-budget with a competitor's solution.  Siteco were asked to evaluate their products with a view to offering a similar quantity of luminaires at a reduced budget whilst maintaining the overall aesthectic and design criteria.

Siteco offered its Novaluna S.  With its shallow profile and light weight appearance, it was an obvious choice, as it would not dominate or overtake the space and thus maintain a light, airy atmosphere.

The technical performance of the luminaire not only maintained the pre-determined spacing but increased the potential lighting levels from 410 to 520 lux.  This allowed the lighting system to be controlled, linking lightng levels to daylight contribution, offering potential savings in electrical load.
