Carinthia's Industry Works By The Light Of Siteco
The largest production site of Mahle, an international automotive components supplier, is situated in Carinthia. With about 1,700 employees the Mahle Filtersysteme Austria GmbH in St. Michael ob Bleiburg is Carinthia's second largest industrial company. The success story forms a part of the global automotive industry. The company primarily produces air, oil, fuel and pollen filters. Ninety-nine percent of the Carinthia production is for export.
The Carinthian Mahle site at St. Michael ob Bleiburg and at Wolfsberg have undergone a transition from pure production to innovative high-tech. St. Michael is Mahle's centre of research for liquid filtering. As well as the research department that was once moved from the Stuttgart headquarters, Mahle has also developed its own toolshop facilities in Carinthia that delivers the 22 Mahle production facilities worldwide with cutting, drawing and plastic-forming tools. The main emphasis though at Mahle in Carinthia ahead of research and development is of course production. About 80 million filters leave their production halls yearly. The customer list reads like a Who's Who of the automotive industry: BMW, Daimler Chrysler, VW-Audi, Peugeot, Citroën, Porsche and Nissan among others.
Siteco has equipped individual filter production halls with 300 Siteco reflector luminaires, about 1,200 Siteco Monsun damp-proof luminaires and the legendary Siteco DUS trunking system. The 1,000 DUS Plus luminaire inserts produce high levels of illuminance and direct controlled light onto working planes. The Siteco Monsun damp-proof luminaires and reflector luminaires create a bright and friendly working atmosphere. The result: light where it is needed, and light for health and well-being. Wide beam light distribution from the Siteco reflector luminaires emit high vertical illuminance levels with soft contrasts and good uniformity. True success is based upon well-thought out ideas – even in lighting.
