The damp-proof diffuser luminaires of the FR500 family have been designed for the special ambient conditions presented by industrial manufacturing. A robust housing of glass-fibre reinforced plastic, an impact-resistant cover of PMMA and a special sealing system provide protection against extreme temperature fluctuations, critical humidity conditions and ingress of dust. The precise workmanship and high quality materials qualify the luminaire for an IP65 protection rating with insulation class 1. Various louvre inserts are available for the FR500 luminaires, even enabling use with computer screens and other electronic displays (CAT2). The direct distribution luminaires have been optimised for use with T26 fluorescent sources. With wide-ranging and installation-friendly accessories the luminaires are suitable for ceiling surface-mounting, suspended mounting and continuous rows with rails.
