Electronics Industry

Chip fabrication and chip inspection as well as other controlling activities in the electronics industry pose the highest demands for a lighting concept.

Fabrication usually takes place in a 24-hour shift system in screened, dustfree rooms. Special clean room luminaires are used; in circuit board control, low-glare luminaires with micro-prism structures are deployed.

Different lighting concepts are being tested in order to guarantee motivation and the comfort of shift workers. It is known that the acceptance of a working environment increases when light output and colour temperature vary chronologically according to the dynamics of daylight. Lighting installations are designed so that daylight-similar conditions dominate. A lighting management system is used to adapt the intensity and colour temperature of artificial light according to the natural progression of daylight.
